| Senior Peer Counselling offers supportive, confidential
counselling services to older adults. This free, one-on-one
service is provided by trained and supervised senior
volunteers and is based on principles of self-help and
empowerment. Senior peer counsellors are compassionate
individuals over the age of 55 who have been trained to
provide non-judgmental emotional support to promote wellness
and reduce social isolation. |

society dedicated to providing information, education, consultation,
support and networking services to affiliated
groups across the province. Senior Peer
Counseling of B.C. was founded
in 1989 to bring together, in a formally constituted organization,
groups which had been providing senior peer counseling in British
Columbia dating from 1982. |
